AI-assisted interaction design

Jasper’s workflows

The Jasper everywhere ethos resulted in multiple command input fields. The chrome extension’s inline command feature was something I not only loved, but I wanted to validate the UI to potentially use it in future designs for automating workflows

The PM of chrome extensions reached out to me so I stepped up to help out!

Customer thread

Survey results showed the following pain points

AI at it’s fundamental is a entering a command or what is now a prompt

the workflows automated commands together is a faster alternative to manually inputting to templates

the command prompt as a great complimentary tool to augment automation

strength the other command prompt as has been exhibited by the stratospheric rise of ChatGPT

using command prompt - having one around so to speak when you need some creative partner to help spark or work out the best input to the form field such as context, tone, etc

user testing for inline commands

how do I combine workflows and inline interaction design

  • I was a fan of the chrome extensions designs

  • I flexed in to support that team who was sprinting at high velocity

  • results were validated

  • my prototype, hypothesis and concerns

  • outcome and results

What are themes

  • what are the basic heuristics?

  • Global context

  • Selecting from multiple AI outputs

  • Editing outputs

Future-proofing for automated use cases

IA - The space constraints were an issue from day one. what are the heuristics for space

parallel forward-thinking designs for both the IA of the application and well as ways to design bulk UX for workflows

What are themes

  • Workflows for user cases - how do I not say campaigns

  • user testing a Prototype that would cover these things

  • - what are these things in the prototype

  • how did the results pan out?
